Old Age Home

There are heart-rending illustrations in our society of families abandoning  their parents or family members when they grow aged and “unproductive”. The hands that had rocked their cradles, fed and clothed them , sacrificed their small pleasures for the shake of  happiness of their  children are felt “unwanted “. Their presence is an embarrassment in their so called elite societies ! For the shake of such aged persons (Both Man & Woman) Barasat Anweshan , starting to established an Old Age Home(SANKALPA)under construction ,  in 2015 , is a service provided organization. It is situated on a plot of land with open space as well manicured garden.  The rooms will fully furnished with modern amenities, attached bath, toilet and a balcony. The first floor also houses Office, Library, Lobby, Kitchen, Dining ,Prayer Room and community Hall.

Ambulance Service

 Our aim is to minimize this delay so as to save life. We are committed to achieving the highest standards in safety and well-being of people and the environment that we operate in. There has been an alarming rise in deaths due to delay in patients reaching the hospital for medical emergency treatment and we will ensure and promote to reverse this trend. Each ambulance will be fitted with medical technologies to deal with critical medical issues along with good medical team.

Awareness Camps

Barasat Anweshan With the view to unite the women of rural area of North & South 24 Parganas of West Bengal a series of Awareness camps on various issues had been organized by Barasat Anweshan in the year 2015-16.  Our organizing members are critically conscientious on different issues of development like – Gender , social structure, poverty, caste-creed & communal harmony, against alcoholism, HIV-AIDS, need for pure drinking water, child labor abuse, superstition, child & mother care, save girl child , drug addiction, dowry system, birth control, vested land, environment, legal rights etc.

Water Sanitation & Hygiene Program 

Our WASH program focuses on delivering safe drinking water to individuals, households and clinics of North & South 24 Parganas and helping out building sanitation infrastructure. Also we are keen in increasing the awareness amongst local communities in the matter of the importance of practicing good hygiene as a preventive measure to sound health. To ensure the on-going maintenance of sanitation facilities that have been provided, we focus on increasing the involvement and capacity of local stakeholders so that they are empowered to take full responsibility for the infrastructure.

Special Care & Protection For Girls 

We provide very good living standards to the survivors. Each girl is provided a comfortable bed and individual fan along with healthy nutrition. We ensure that they live happily cop-operating with each other and Work closely with, provide strategic advice to, & build capacity for humanitarian end to having a healthy society. Monitor & analyze developments continuously. Become an expert resource for fulfilling aim and objective of the Organization. Build a close relationship with and between victims, police, counselors, informers etc. Provide advice and guidance to victims in order that they can rehabilitate themselves healthily in the society.

Computer Training Centre

Barasat Anweshan established a computer centre in the school premises for the rural poor youth. In most of the cases they could not able to obtain computer training necessary for their engagement due to poverty. Realizing the fact our organization has initiate to impart computer training at Harpara. This training program is designed creating a supporting measure to employment opportunity as maximum as possible, entrepreneurship development for attaining socio-economic growth of individuals as well as the community. Again this program is very much methodically sound effective and result oriented. Special care has been taken to make the participants confident and competent about their skills and abilities and placement facility is one of the popular features of this program.
