Our mission is to improve the quality of life and outcomes for children in shelters and to ensure that every child is able to fulfill their potential irrespective of his or her circumstances.

What We Do

Our journey has started with the aim to bring about positive changes of our society by providing services to the sectors that despite welfare measures of the Government have remained underdeveloped because of lack of consciousness among the members of the community. During this journey we have involved ourselves in various activities like running Orphanage, School, imparting Vocational Training, providing Free Medical services, forming SHGs, and Awareness Camps, and many others

Our Works

Free Coaching Centre

Barasat Anweshan organized some free coaching centers where the Inmates & Poor students getting free coaching through this centre. The parents who can’t provide the tuition fees of their children are benefited from our free coaching centers

Begum Rokeya School For Women Education

Since its inception, Barasat Anweshan is making continuous efforts to educate women, as by educating a woman it will not only give her sense of independence but by educating a women one educate a whole family.

Ramkrishna Sarada Mission Vidyalaya

It is fully an Ashramik Vidyalaya (Residential ) established in the year 2004 & now affiliated by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) as High School where all the students of both sexes are being taught from Nursery to Class X with great care.

Old Age Home

There are heart-rending illustrations in our society of families abandoning  their parents or family members when they grow aged and “unproductive”. The hands that had rocked their cradles, fed and clothed them , sacrificed their small pleasures for the shake of  happiness of their children are felt “unwanted “. 

Ambulance Service

Our aim is to minimise this delay so as to save life. We are committed to achieving the highest standards in safety and well-being of people and the environment that we operate in. There has been an alarming rise in deaths due to delay in patients reaching the hospital for medical emergency treatment 

Awareness Camps

Barasat Anweshan With the view to unite the women of rural area of North & South 24 Parganas of West Bengal a series of Awareness camps on various issues had been organized by BARASAT ANWESHAN in the year 2015-16.  

Water Sanitation & Hygiene Program

Our WASH program focuses on delivering safe drinking water to individuals, households and clinics of North & South 24 Parganas and helping out building sanitation infrastructure. Also we are keen in increasing the awareness amongst local communities in the matter of the importance of practicing good hygiene.

Special Care & Protection For Girls

We provide very good living standards to the survivors. Each girl is provided a comfortable bed and individual fan along with healthy nutrition. We ensure that they live happily cop-operating with each other and Work closely with, provide strategic advice to, & build capacity for humanitarian end to having a healthy society. 

Computer Training Center

Barasat Anweshan established a computer center in the school premises for the rural poor youth.I n most of the cases, they could not able to obtain computer training necessary for their engagement due to poverty. Realizing the fact our organization has initiated to impart computer training at Harpara

Barasat Anweshan, started its operation in small scale in the rural areas of North 24 District of West Bengal. We work for the homeless and destitute children. Today BARASAT ANWESHAN has emerged as an independent, large NGO with the twin objectives of poverty alleviation and empowerment of the poor women & children.
