Barasat Anweshan, a social development organization, started its operation in small scale in the rural areas of North 24 District of West Bengal. Mr. Shyamal Ray Chowdhury, an Educationalist, and the founder Secretary and CEO of Barasat Anweshan, initiated the development activities by establishing ‘Anweshan Nivedita Boys Home’ for the homeless and destitute children.
