SUMMARY:Blood Donation Camp
DESCRIPTION:There has always been a substantial gap between the demand and availability of blood at various blood banks in West Bengal. This scarcity intensifies during summer months. In view of this gap between demand and availability we have been organized  Blood donation camp every year for creating a general awareness about the importance of Blood Donation. It is not only helps in providing blood to patients on operation table but also to the thalasemia  & other chronic daises patients. This year Barasat Anweshan organized blood donation camp on 8th May’ 2015 on the occasion of World “Thallassamea Day” at Harpara. This camp has collected 65 units of blood and is supported by The Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Forum \, West Bengal.

DESCRIPTION:As per West Bengal Govt. Rules our Mission took the responsibility of Rain Water Harvesting at Beraberia GP under Amdanga Block. After the completion of the scheme seeds and fishes were freely distributed to the beneficiaries.

SUMMARY:Swachh Bharat Mission & Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan
DESCRIPTION:In a slum near Kolkata with a vision to clean India\, our team has organized Awareness cum cleaning slum campaign. The same program was extended to many other villages of North & South 24 Parganas on 22 March 2015. An awareness program was also organized where the citizens of the slum participated and they were sensitized so that they felt that they would keep their slums clean in the future. The program was followed by distribution of dustbins to the citizens along with specific instructions to handle and dispose their garbage.

SUMMARY:Anti Drug Campaign
DESCRIPTION:Under special circumstances\, Barasat Anweshan recently organized an Anti Drug campaign at Harpara to bring stability amongst disadvantaged children in dire circumstances due to drug abuse. 30 kids in Beraberia were found afflicted with drug abuse and were taken to the hospital to provide medical assistance. They needed special attention to get back their lives on track\, mentally and physically. The head of the community\, needed support and we stepped in to bring back light in the lives of the impressionable kids.
